The governor’s apartment, also known as the Duke’s house, was built in the middle of the 17th century. It was constructed on the grounds of the oldest buildings from the period of the Croatian rulers and subsequent dukes of Klis. The Austrians did up the building and it served as headquarters for the command of the fortress and military engineering.
In 2016 this area was completely renovated, and multimedia equipment was implemented in it so that the visitors could have a complete experience.
